First Blog Post! Remove DNS restrictions.

Paranoid parents have a way of going to great lengths to stop their kids from learning about the world. This blog is a continuous guide on how to stop them from invading your technological lives. If your house feels like Communist China, then check back once a week for guides on how to remove Parent-Spyware, DNS blocks, and Parental Controls on Mac and iOS devices.

For my first guide, I decided to use the easiest method possible to remove DNS blocks on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch). If, when you go to a website that is restricted IN YOUR HOUSE and not at places such as Starbucks or a hotel, you will need this guide.

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap on Wifi
  3. Tap the "i" with the circle around it next to your selected network
  4. Scroll down and tap DNS
  5. Enter the number, "8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4"
  6. Enjoy restriction-free internet access!
